The law firm ROOSPATENT primarily counsels and represents clients interested in obtaining, defending, maintaining and contesting intellectual property (IP) rights such as utility patents and utility models, trademarks, and design patents. This also includes consultation services during the conclusion of licensing agreements or sales contracts involving this type of property right, e.g. a patent license agreement.

Since 1999, Peter Roos provides professional advice as a patent attorney in the field of Intellectual Property.

In cooperation with specialized attorneys at law and patent attorneys, ROOSPATENT counsels clients also in infringement proceedings. An infringement upon intellectual property rights has taken place when third parties make use of a property right without the prior authorization of its owner. Depending upon the circumstances, the owner may be able to sue for discontinuance, damages or compensation. The cooperating attorneys at law also work in the fields of competition law, copyright law as well as commercial and corporate law.

Our location in Munich allows us to personally look after our clients’ interests, both at the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO) and the Federal Patent Court for national trademark, patent and design proceedings as well as at the European Patent Office (EPO) for proceedings concerning the European Patent Convention (EPC).
